IT specialist
The IT Support & Systems Specialist is the lead technical resource responsible for the company?s computing equipment, network, and security systems in Panama, and for coordinating the IT setup and ongoing support of the Group?s remote and distributed workforce. This is a senior, hands-on role: the holder is expected to own the full IT environment end-to-end, work autonomously with minimal supervision, and act as the single point of accountability for end-user computing, infrastructure, and both physical and digital security.
Requirements
University degree or higher technical diploma (técnico superior) in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, IT, Networks, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years in IT support / systems administration, including at least 2 years operating as the lead or sole IT resource, owning an organization?s IT environment end-to-end.
Proven experience setting up and supporting a remote / distributed workforce.
Strong hands-on expertise with Windows (client and Server), Active Directory / Microsoft Entra ID, and Microsoft 365 administration.
Configuration and troubleshooting of routers, switches, Wi-Fi, VLANs, and firewalls.
Practical experience with EDR/antivirus, VPN, MDM, patch management, and identity/access management including MFA.
Hands-on experience with CCTV, access control, and/or alarm systems, or demonstrated ability to manage vendors delivering these.
Proficiency with remote-support and remote-provisioning tools (e.g., AnyDesk, TeamViewer, RDP).
Fluent Spanish and professional working English (written and spoken).
Legally authorized to work in Panama.
Strong documentation and asset-management habits.
