It Specialist

CTS Logistics International Panama Inc. is looking for an experienced IT Support Specialist to maintain the seamless operation of our IT systems and infrastructure. In this role, you will provide technical support to employees, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and ensure system efficiency. Strong English communication skills are essential, as you will work closely with team members at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

- User Support - Provide first-level technical assistance, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
- Assist with password resets, email configuration, and software installations.

- Hardware & Software Maintenance - Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.
- Support software updates, troubleshooting, and application management.

- Network & Security Management - Monitor and resolve network connectivity issues (LAN, Wi-Fi).
- Implement and enforce IT security policies, including antivirus software, firewalls, and access controls.

- Server & Database Administration - Maintain and back up internal development servers.
- Optimize database performance, security, backup, and recovery.
- Develop policies for data entry and information-sharing protocols.

- Telecommunications & Web Systems - Oversee the maintenance and functionality of telecommunication and web systems.
- Establish procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of websites and online platforms.
- Provide guidance and training to staff on IT tools and digital resources.

- IT Infrastructure & Vendor Coordination - Research and implement new hardware and software to meet business needs.
- Maintain an inventory of internal licenses and ensure compliance.
- Work with vendors and service providers to oversee technology acquisitions, warranties, and service agreements.

- Technology Strategy & Project Management - Plan, develop, and manage IT services, programs, and support across the organization.
- Oversee the implementation of IT solutions aligned with business needs.
- Conduct capacity planning for network bandwidth, storage, messaging, and other applications.
- Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies that enhance business efficiency.

- Reporting & Training - Generate reports and present findings to senior management.
- Plan and conduct end-user training sessions.

- General Support & Special Projects - Assist with special events and activities as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education background

- Bachelor?s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English (Professional Certification Results for Engineer:C 1/C 2

Professional knowledge

- IT Support Experience ? Demonstrated expertise in IT support, preferably within the logistics or related industries.
- Operating Systems Proficiency ? Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS environments.
- Technical Troubleshooting ? Skilled in diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues efficiently.
- Network Administration ? Familiarity with network configurations, protocols, and connectivity troubleshooting.
- Communication Skills ? Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving ? Strong ability to identify, analyze, and resolve technical challenges with attention to detail.
- Customer Service Orientation ? Dedicated to delivering high-quality IT support and ensuring user satisfaction.
