Middle School at ISP: Our primary mission is to meet the unique educational, emotional, and social needs of each and every student. Requisitos:
WHAT YOU?LL DO Lab Assistant - Properly store, monitor, restock, and maintain an accurate, up-to-date inventory of supplies and proactively communicate needs for equipment and supply purchases to instructors and administration.
- Collaborate closely with science faculty on lab setup, material preparation, and field activity logistics.
- Prepare scientific labs and experiments as directed by instructors and dispose of used materials properly.
- Supervise students during lab activities as needed to support safe and productive learning.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in all lab spaces and supply areas.
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on physics, chemistry, and biology equipment; ensure all equipment is regularly checked and in working order.
- Assist in the implementation and enforcement of proper safety procedures and standards across all science labs.
- Identify and report potential safety hazards promptly.
- Examine safety equipment and first aid supplies regularly to ensure proper working order.
Learning Support Assistant - Assist the science teachers by providing push-in support for students with learning differences in mainstream classrooms.
- Implement services/interventions for Middle School students who may need additional support (i.e. extra help in the area of math, reading, writing, spelling and executive functioning skills).
- Assist the Learning Support Specialist Teacher in meeting with parents to discuss the Student Learning Plan.
- Teach and work with students an average of 3 blocks per day
- Lead an advisory group.
- Complete other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB - University studies in a science-related field.
- Previous experience in a similar position or laboratory support role (preferred)
