Are you passionate about literacy education and dedicated to helping students achieve academic success? Academia Hebrea de Panama is seeking an experienced and dynamic Literacy Coach to lead the development and implementation of our reading and writing program for grades 1 to 6. (ENGLISH & SPANISH)

Job Goal:

To develop and oversee the implementation of the reading and writing program for grades 1 to 6, providing instructional support and best practices to teachers in order to help students reach their academic goals.

Responsibilities:

- Work closely with teachers to examine best practices and curriculum materials, and to demonstrate effective instructional strategies.

- Provide ongoing support to teachers, fostering their development in literacy instruction.

- Collaborate with teachers to review assessment data, determine instructional strategies and support, and respond to student needs.

- Examine student work with teachers to assess progress and identify areas for improvement.

- Promote ways to support and enhance best practices in literacy instruction, and to develop the scope and sequence of the reading and writing program in both ENGLISH & SPANISH.

- Report to the Head of Primary.

Qualifications:

- University degree in Education or a related field.

- 4 or more years of teaching experience in elementary school.

- Desirable experience as a team leader or coordinator in a school setting.

- Effective communication skills, both orally and in writing, fostering a positive and collaborative environment.

- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and provide structures for peer coaching and student-centered lesson development.

- Proficiency in examining best practices, curriculum materials, and instructional strategies to support teacher development and enhance student learning.

- Familiarity with Jewish Orthodox culture and traditions It's a plus!
