Junior Accountant (Treasury)
This role contributes and supports the overall accounting activities for the Caribbean. Its primary focus relates to the cash management activies, payments upload in the banking platforms, internal and external vendors payments processing, assistance with monthly tax fillings, support for the month end closing activities as well as any accounting / finance task requested by the corporate office.
- Monthly elaboration of main disbursement and store bank accounts reconciliations
- Post all related bank fees and commissions of the bank accounts under his / her responsibility
- Weekly cash flow execution
- Upload of vendors payments in the different banking platforms
- Aplication (post) of vendors payments in SAP on a weekly base
- Assist the Senior accountant with the local tax monthly sumbisions (VAT, municipal, corporate)
- External audit support
- Monthly support of month end closing activities assigned by his / her supervisor
- Compliance with banks or any other credit institution part of the business
- Any other accounting or finance related task
Requirements:
- 1 to 2 years of experience in General Accounting within a medium-sized company or multinational environment.
- Advanced Intermediate to Advanced English (required).
- Experience in the retail industry is preferred, but not required.
- Recently graduated or currently completing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (but must be available to work full-time).
- SAP knowledge is a plus.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and multitasking skills, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
This position offers:
- Monday to Friday schedule: 8am to 5pm
- This is a hybrid role (3 days from office anda 2 days from home)
