We are looking for an experienced Senior Security Systems Engineer to join our technical operations team. This role is ideal for someone who has strong hands-on experience with security appliances, network infrastructure, virtualization, and endpoint protection platforms ? and who wants to take ownership of complex environments across multiple clients.

This is a senior, high-responsibility position supporting enterprise-level cybersecurity operations.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain security appliances and supporting infrastructure deployed across multiple client environments
- Build scalable operational processes for the deployment, maintenance, and monitoring of security systems
- Administer and troubleshoot network security technologies (firewalls, VPNs, routing, segmentation)
- Configure and support DDoS protection, WAF technologies, and other edge-protection systems
- Manage endpoint security platforms across distributed environments
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and serve as an escalation point for complex technical issues
- Plan and execute on-site maintenance and hardware upgrades when required
- Maintain system baselines, documentation, and operational standards
- Collaborate closely with operations, engineering, and security teams
- Ensure high availability, stability, and performance of security infrastructure
- Participate in controlled change management processes
- Provide support during security incidents when related to infrastructure or countermeasures
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in systems engineering, security engineering, or network engineering
- Strong experience with Linux-based systems administration
- Experience managing enterprise firewalls (Check Point preferred; other platforms acceptable)
- Experience with DDoS mitigation appliances, WAF technologies, or similar network-edge security platforms
- Experience with endpoint protection or XDR solutions
- Solid understanding of virtualization technologies (KVM, ESXi, Hyper-V, or Proxmox)
- Familiarity with VPNs, IPsec tunnels, routing, and network diagnostics
- Ability to automate tasks using Bash or Python
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent documentation habits and structured work style
- Ability to plan and execute on-site technical tasks in production environments
- Able to work under pressure in operational scenarios
- Native Spanish and fluent English (spoken and written)
- Ability to travel to the U.S. as needed
