Data Architect.

OVERVIEW:

Processing Center located in Panama City is seeking a highly skilled Data Architect to join our Data Warehouse team. This role is pivotal in designing and maintaining scalable, high-performance data systems that support enterprise-wide analytics and reporting. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in data warehousing, data modeling, and modern data architecture practices.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Lead the design and implementation of enterprise data warehouse solutions using platforms like Snowflake or BigQuery.
- Develop and maintain data models, ETL pipelines, and data governance frameworks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Evaluate and integrate new data technologies to enhance data processing and scalability.
- Ensure seamless data flow between systems and applications while ensuring scalability and performance
- Ensure data governance, security and compliance with relevant regulations, implementing best practices in data management and protection.
- Ensure data quality, security, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior data engineers and architects, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

- Advanced English skills.
- Strong understanding of data governance, data quality and data lifecycle management
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to align technical and business needs.
- Familiarity with data streaming technologies such as Kafka or Kinesis
- Knowledge of machine learning concepts and their application in data architecture
- Relevant certifications in data architecture or cloud technologies

Training and Experience:

- Bachelor?s degree in computer science or related field, or 8?10 years of relevant experience.
- Proven experience designing and implementing data models and warehouses using technologies such as Snowflake, Redshift or BigQuery
- Experience with ETL Tools like Apache, NiFi, Talend, or Informatica
- Knowledge of data governance, data lifecycle management, and machine learning concepts.
- Familiarity with big data technologies, such as Hadoop, Kafka or similar frameworks as well as hybrid architectures
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or Scala.
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra) and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Kafka).
- Relevant industry certifications, such as Power BI Data Analyst Associate, are a plus.
